Police working to identify body found in remote North Canterbury

Work continues to identify the body of a person found in a remote area of North Canterbury.

The body was discovered on rural land inland from Amberley yesterday.

Police have been treating the death as "unexplained".

It's not clear if the body is male or female.

The area remains cordoned off and a post mortem examination is underway.
