One person dead after Far North 'water incident'

December 22, 2022

One person is dead after what police are calling a Far North "water incident" this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Matauri Bay around 1pm.

"Unfortunately, upon arrival one person was located deceased," police said in a statement.

The death is being referred to the coroner.
