Child hospitalised after dog attack in Auckland

A child has been hospitalised with moderate injuries after being attacked by a dog in Glen Innes, Auckland overnight.

Police said they were called to the scene on Farringdon St at 2.30am.

Police said they searched for the dog, along with animal control but have been unable to find it.

"Any further queries should be directed to the Council."
