2 arrested after 2 seriously hurt in alleged Bay of Plenty assault

Two people have been hospitalised with serious injuries while a further two have been arrested following an alleged assault in Te Kaha, in the Bay of Plenty, early this morning.

Police said they were notified of the assault at 3.20am today.

Initial indications are that those involved knew each other, police said.

Further inquiries are underway to determine what happened.
