One dead after two-car crash in Tauranga

One person has died and another hospitalised following a serious crash on State Highway 29A in Tauranga this morning.

The two-vehicle collision happened shortly after 6:35am this morning.

Police say diversions are in place and advise motorists to avoid the area.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
