Person dies following diving incident in Catlins

One person has died following a diving incident in the Catlins, south of Otago, this afternoon.

Police say emergency services were called to Jack's Bay, in Hinahina, around 1pm.

Bystanders carried out CPR, however the person was unable to be revived.
