Pedestrians seriously hurt after being hit by car in Auckland

Two people are in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Auckland's Beach Haven on Thursday evening.

Police said the crash involved a car and two pedestrians on Rangatira Rd, Beach Haven, just before 6pm.

Both pedestrians were seriously injured and have been transported to hospital.

Police are at the scene speaking with witnesses and making inquiries into the cause of the crash.
