A road has closed in the Auckland Suburb of Remuera after a car rolled on Saturday morning.

Police said Abbots Way closed following the crash at the intersection of Abbots Way and Winstone Drive.

The person has been taken to Auckland Hospital with serious injuries.

Motorists are urged to use alternative routes and avoid the area.
