One person injured in Rotorua motel fire

One person has been injured after a Rotorua motel fire on Saturday afternoon.

Three fire trucks were called to the blaze on Fenton Street around 4:30pm, according to Fire and Emergency New Zealand.

The road was closed while the building was evacuated.

Police say everyone was evacuated with one person treated for moderate injuries.
