1 dead, more injured after 3-car crash in Havelock North

One person has died and three others are injured following a three-car crash in Havelock North on Monday afternoon.

Police said the crash occurred at 4.30pm on St Georges Rd. The deceased was in one car while the three injured were all in a second car.

One has serious injuries while two are moderately injured.

The road is closed and motorists are asked to avoid the area.

The serious crash unit are examining the scene.
