Cyclist dies after crash with vehicle in Papamoa

A cyclist has died after a crash with a vehicle in Papamoa, Tauranga.

Police say they were called to Parton Road shortly after 11am to a crash between a cyclist and a vehicle.

"Sadly, the cyclist died at the scene," police said in a statement on Friday afternoon.

The Serious Crash Unit will be examining the scene.
