1 person dead after two-vehicle crash in Hawke's Bay

A person has died following a two-vehicle crash in Pukehamoamoa, near Hastings in the Hawke's Bay.

Police said emergency services were called to Taihape Rd shortly before 4pm and one person died at the scene.

Two other people with serious injuries have been transported to hospital.

The Serious Crash Unit has been advised and the road will be closed until at least 10.30pm.

Diversions are in place on Ohiti Road and Matapero Road.
