Person dies in Taupō crash, another in critical condition

One person has died in a crash in Waihaha, Taupō on Wednesday.

Another person was left critically injured in the single-car crash and was airlifted to hospital, police say.

The crash occurred on Western Bay Road around 12:50pm.

The road has reopened and the circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
