2 dead after crash in South Auckland

Two people have died after a single-vehicle crash in South Auckland early on Sunday morning.

The crash happened at the intersection of Weymouth Rd and Palmers Rd, Clendon Park, about 12.35am.

The vehicle wound up in the roundabouts pedestrian underpass.

The road is closed and motorists are asked to avoid the area.

Police inquiries into the crash are ongoing.
