This week's Good Sort is a cycle enthusiast from Taranaki who's using his love of bikes to help those in need.
Gary Sarten is from Lepperton, a short drive inland from New Plymouth, and although he has hundreds of bikes, he's not a hoarder.
Sarten has spent his life riding bikes, he converted his dairy farmer dad's cow shed into a bike shop. The rest is history.
He loves giving bikes a second life, admittedly he says he's "attracted to broken things".
Whether it's the local daycare centre or foodbank, Sarten has a bike to give or lend.
But his flashest bikes are all being stored in his old glasshouse to give to kids over Christmas.
