Newborn baby found dead in Christchurch

An investigation has been launched in Christchurch following the death of a newborn baby.

Police said they launched the investigation after the baby was located at a residential address around 8pm on Saturday.

A post mortem and scene examination will be carried out throughout Sunday.

Police said no other information was available in the early stage of their enquires.
