On a dairy farm in Bunnythorpe, in the Manawatū-Whanganui region, the Gemmells milk their cows differently.
Watching from a mobile phone, Greg and Amy Gemmell can watch as robots milk the herd for them.
It all works because the cows wear responders around their necks and the automated machines pick up on that.
"You're known by name, not by farmer on this farm," Greg remarked.
