There are 94 number of new Covid-19 community cases in New Zealand on Tuesday, Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield has confirmed.
87 of the new cases are in Auckland and seven are in Waikato.
This is the highest number of daily Covid-19 cases for New Zealand since the pandemic began, breaking the previous record of 89 set in April 2020.
Of Tuesday's cases, 41 are linked to the Delta outbreak and 53 remain unlinked.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern noted that the majority of the new cases reported on Tuesday are from the least vaccinated age groups in New Zealand, people aged 39 and under.
Within this age group, there are 12 people in hospital.
"I know it’s hard, but we are so, so close, and we know that vaccinations are already making a significant difference to the outbreak... but so too are people following the rules," Ardern said.

There are 38 people hospitalised with Covid-19, eight are in North Shore Hospital, 12 in Middlemore Hospital and 18 in Auckland City Hospital.
Five of these cases are in an ICU or high dependency unit.
This brings the total number of cases in the country in this Delta outbreak to 2099.
All of the seven cases detected in Waikato on Tuesday have been linked to the outbreak.
Health officials are yet to find links to the two cases reported last week and the other two reported on Sunday in Waikato.
Testing stations have been set up throughout the region in Hamilton, Whatawhata and Kihikihi and can be found on the Healthpoint website.
There continues to be ongoing detections of Covid-19 throughout the Auckland region as well as expected detections in Hamilton and Te Awamutu.
As Covid-19 spreads throughout Auckland, it's prompted a plea from health officials asking the public to get tested, regardless of their suburb, if they're symptomatic.
Jacinda Ardern confirmed Covid-19 cases have been detected in 124 suburbs across the Auckland region, she added that the North Shore had a high rate of cases.
Health officials have set up 19 community testing centres in the city, with a list available on the Healthpoint website.
The Ministry of Health confirmed that 85 per cent of New Zealanders eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine have had at least one dose, with 67 per cent now fully vaccinated.
Auckland is sitting just shy of its 90 per cent vaccinated goal, with 89 per cent having at least one dose and 72 per cent fully vaccinated.
