Police find missing 84-year-old Ashburton woman safe

Police have found a 84-year-old who went missing from her Ashburton home on Wednesday night.

Kura Clark uses a walking frame and was reported missing from her home late in the evening, police said.

Residents in the Alford Forest Rd, River Rd, Oak Grove and Walnut Avenue area were asked to check their properties, including sheds and outbuildings and report anything of note to police on Thursday morning.

Within an hour of putting out the request, police were happy to announce Clark had been located safely.
