A person has been hospitalised with serious injuries after a suspected shooting in the Auckland suburb of Mt Roskill on Friday night.
Police confirmed it was called to an address about 9pm after receiving a report a shot had been fired towards the house.
Detective Senior Sergeant Phil Cox said a vehicle was heard driving off at speed following the shooting.

"A scene examination is continuing today at the property, and residents in the area can expect to see a police presence in light of this."
