1 dead after 2 vehicles crash in Auckland

One person has died following a two-vehicle crash in Auckand overnight Friday.

Inspector Jason Homan said the incident happened at the intersection of Brenton Place and Kepa Road in Ōrākei around 11:45pm.

The driver and sole occupant of one the vehicles died at the scene. 

There were no significant injuries for any of the occupants in the other vehicle.

The Serious Crash Unit has attended the scene, and the road remains closed Saturday morning while scene examinations continue.
