Hundreds of Seven Sharp viewers have gotten the jab for free chocolate fish over the weekend.

Seven Sharp's Hilary Barry said on air last week that'd she send anyone who receives their first dose of the vaccine one of the Kiwi classics.

"I can confirm what you heard on @SevenSharp is true. I will send every person who has their first Covid vaccine this weekend a chocolate fish. Send proof of vaccine and details to sevensharp@tvnz.co.nz," Barry confirmed on Twitter last Friday.

While the sweet treats are in the mail, it’s been a rocky journey to get there.
