Hundreds gather in Auckland Domain, protesting against lockdown.

Police have summoned another person linked to the anti-lockdown rally held in the Auckland Domain over the weekend.

A 57-year-old man is set to appear in the Auckland District Court next week, linked to the organising of the mass gathering which breached Alert Level 3 restrictions.

He's facing charges of breaching the Covid-19 Public Health Response Act and the Alert Level 3 Order and will appear alongside Destiny Church leader Brian Tamaki.

Tamaki spoke out on Tuesday night defending the protest after police announced the 63-year-old had received court summons over his involvement in the rally.

Superintendent Shanan Gray says police aren't ruling out further charges linked to the gathering as their investigation continues.
