October 7, 2021

The Auckland City Mission is among 16 new entries on the locations of interest list on Thursday, according to the Ministry of Health .

The mission in Auckland's CBD was visited on Monday, October 4 between 9am and noon.

The Ministry of Health said the risk to the public was thought to be low as they were outside in a tent for testing and also queued in the open air for a meal pack.

"Everyone who visits the mission is required to wear a mask and stay two metres apart."

Staff were working with the Auckland Regional Public Health Service to ensure the safety and wellbeing of its clients and visitors.

A full list of locations of interest, which continues to be updated, can be found on the Ministry of Health's website .

The mission was contacting as many people who receive its services as it can to encourage the uptake of testing and to check on their health.

Staff at the mission undertake regular surveillance testing.

The Mission was named among 16 new locations of interest dotted across the city, Raglan, Kumeū, Parakai and Hamilton on Thursday.

They include petrol stations, bakeries, dairies, a cafe, supermarkets and Four Square stores.

The health advice for all new locations is to self-monitor for Covid-19 symptoms for 14 days from exposure.
