1 dead after vehicle crashes off road in Waikato

A person has been found dead after they were found in their crashed vehicle off a road in the Waikato on Thursday morning.

A police spokesperson said emergency services were called to an incident shortly after 8am.

A vehicle had been located crashed off the road and down a bank in Glen Murray on Waikaretu Valley Road.

The driver of the vehicle, who was the only one inside the vehicle, was found dead at the scene.

Cordons are in place and the Serious Crash Unit has been called to the scene.
