One dead after crash in Weka Pass, north Canterbury

One person has died after a crash on State Highway 7 (Weka Pass Road) in north Canterbury on Monday night.

Emergency services were notified about the two car crash between Waipara and Waikari at 10.15pm.

One person died at the scene and three others sustained moderate to serious injuries.

Police say the road has been reopened and the crash is being investigated.
