Person in custody after reports of firearm at Christchurch Hospital

A person has been taken into custody after reports of a firearm being seen at Christchurch Hospital. 

A police spokeswoman said it had received a report of a person with a firearm at the hospital's outpatient building about 10.30am Wednesday.

Armed Police attended the incident as a precaution, she said, but no firearm was involved.
