Kayaker in serious condition after getting into difficulty

A kayaker in Christchurch has been taken to hospital in a serious condition after getting into trouble. 

Police said the kayaker got into difficulty off Moncks Bay about 11.30am Saturday.

They were rescued by a boat and brought to shore. 

St John Ambulance said the kayaker was taken to Christchurch Hospital.
