Covid-positive traveller taken to hospital from MIQ facility

A traveller infected with Covid-19 has been transferred from the Jet Park quarantine facility to Auckland City Hospital on Friday afternoon. 

The Ministry of Health told 1 NEWS the case is of "extremely low risk" to the New Zealand public. 

Now in Auckland City Hospital, the case has been moved into a dedicated ward for Covid-19 cases.

The traveller, who is not a mariner, is in a stable condition .  

There are currently 44 active Covid-19 cases at the border, with one announced Friday.
