Every Friday morning, rain or shine, this week’s ASB Good as Gold recipient travels from Greytown to Porirua via cycle & train to run her ‘Danzability’ adapted dance class.
Rachel Horwell set up ‘Danzability’ back in 2015 as a dance therapy class aimed to help get people with Parkinson's disease, stroke, cerebral palsy, arthritis, & other conditions moving, grooving & feeling good through the power of dance.
Shel is an experienced dancer who’s also a qualified physiotherapist with a passion for helping others.
For the aroha and joy she spreads throughout her community, ASB awarded her $10,000.
Watch the video above as she is surprised with the award on Seven Sharp.
