Anti-mask protesters abused and heckled officials, including doctors and nurses, after a school board in Tennessee voted for elementary students to wear masks as they can't be vaccinated.
Video footage shows people surrounding cars and yelling at the people inside.
"We will find you" and "we know who you are" were among the things being yelled.
The Centres for Disease Control and Prevention said the current high rates of Covid-19 transmission meant people should wear masks inside in public spaces, Reuters reported.
