Three charged over shooting in Auckland's Flat Bush

Police have flooded a street in Flat Bush after a firearm incident.

Three men have been charged over yesterday’s shooting in the Auckland suburb of Flat Bush , which left one person injured.

The men, aged between 22 and 27, are facing firearms-related charges. They are expected to appear in the Manukau District Court today. 

A police spokesperson told 1 NEWS inquiries into the incident are ongoing, and they haven’t ruled out further charges. 

The spokesperson said police didn’t believe the incident was gang-related. 

Yesterday afternoon, police swarmed a property on Whimbrel Road, where one person was found with a gunshot wound. 

A vehicle of interest had been seen driving away from the property shortly before police arrived. 

Police are investigating after shots were fired at a residential property in Flat Bush, Auckland.

Two hours later, police were notified of the same vehicle having been stopped on Hillsborough Road, near the Hillsborough Road off-ramp, Detective Inspector Chris Barry said. 

Two people from the car were found nearby and were taken into custody by police. 

An investigation is underway after a person was rushed to hospital with a gunshot wound this afternoon. (Source: Other)

A third person was located shortly after, while a gun and ammunition were found in the vehicle.
