The local sewage pond is a classic case of "out of sight, out of mind" - we all need it but we'd rather not think about it.

However, Seven Sharp thought it was time we pay homage to our sanitation workers.

Across the country they’ve been quietly collecting samples and shipping them to our nation's scientists who are always keeping an eye out for traces of Covid-19.

Julian Lee went along to thank them in the video above.
