Schools and childhood centres in NZ must now display 'no vaping' signs

May 12, 2021
Vaping indoors is also banned at workplaces, restaurants, licensed premises and school grounds.

From today, schools and childhood centres must display "no vaping" signs.

It’s just one of multiple new vaping laws being rolled out since last year.

The new signs will join existing "no smoking" signs, making it illegal to smoke or vape indoors and outdoors on school premises.

While creating a smokefree environment is helpful, one quit group says education will have a greater impact on kids.

By November, it will also be illegal to vape in cars with children.
