Body found inside burning car in Kerikeri

Emergency services have made a disturbing discovery tonight, finding a body inside a burning vehicle in Kerikeri. 

Police were alerted to a car fire just after 7pm on Wharau Road, which is just over an hour's drive from Whangārei.

A person was found dead in the car shortly after.

Police are investigating what has taken place.
