Person dies in Bay of Plenty crash overnight

One person has died in a crash in the Bay of Plenty early this morning.

In a statement this morning, police said they were called to the single-vehicle collision on Work Road, Aongatete, shortly before 2am.

Police inquiries into the crash are ongoing.
