A person is in Auckland Hospital tonight with serious injuries following what police are calling an 'altercation' on the main street of Panmure.
The incident was reported to police just before 5pm, after which they swarmed Queen's Road, where two people were reported to have faced-off outside a commercial premise.
Police are currently at the scene making inquiries to establish what happened.
A section of Queens Road has been closed while those inquiries are carried out.
