Five people survive 25 metre plunge after car goes off road in Coromandel

Five people have escaped without serious injuries after their car rolled down a 25 metre bank in the Coromandel on Sunday night.

Emergency services say the occupants managed to get themselves out of the vehicle with the assistance of some locals.

Three people were winched out by the Westpac rescue helicopter. 

The trio are all in a moderate condition.
