One person dead after crash on State Highway 3 near Whanganui

A person is dead after a crash this afternoon on State Highway 3 near Whanganui.

Police said the crash took place at Westmere about 12.30pm today.

The crash was between a car and a motorcycle.

Diversions are currently in place and motorists are asked to avoid the route or expect delays.
