Man charged with murder after Whakatāne stabbing

A man has been charged with murder after a stabbing in Whakatāne.

It comes as a man was taken to Whakatāne Hospital with stab wounds on Saturday, October 24. He later died.

A 57-year-old man has been charged with murder and will be appearing in the Tauranga District Court tomorrow morning.

Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to this incident.
