Man suffers powerful electric shock while cutting trees on Auckland's North Shore

A man has been seriously injured after suffering a powerful electric shock on Auckland's North Shore yesterday evening.

Emergency services were called to a property in Northcote about 7.55pm.

"A man cutting trees touched a live wire and fell," a police spokesperson told 1 NEWS.

WorkSafe has been notified.
