Person injured after dinghy capsizes near Wellington

The chase lasted seconds before the car crashed into a parked vehicle, police said.

One person has sustained moderate injuries after their dinghy capsized at Titahi Bay in Porirua.

Emergency services were called at 9pm.

A police spokesperson said the coastguard and a helicopter also responded.

A second person was believed to be involved in the incident, but police couldn't provide further details.
