Man charged over alleged assault at Kaikohe petrol station

A man wanted by police after an alleged assault at a Mobil station in Kaikohe, Northland over the weekend has been arrested.

Simon Van Duyn, has been charged over the alleged assault on Saturday afternoon.

According to police, the victim sustained multiple injuries and was transported to hospital. 

Police had put a call out looking for 33-year-old Van Duyn whom they described as "dangerous".
