One dead in fatal crash between car and truck in Napier

One person has died at the scene of a car crash on Marine Parade, Napier, earlier today.

The crash occurred between a car and a truck along State Highway 51 at around 11.15am.

The serious crash unit is investigating, with Marine Parade closed and traffic diversions in place.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
