A homicide investigation is underway after man was found dead in the Auckland suburb of Epsom in the early hours of this morning.
Police were called to 574 Manukau Road - Club 574 Gentleman's Club - by a member of the public just after midnight.
The man's body was discovered outside the brothel while police were making inquiries, acting detective inspector Glenn Baldwin said in a statement.
Detectives have today initiated a number of inquiries in order to establish the circumstances behind the man's death.
A scene examination is underway, and is expected to continue in the coming days. Police will also be going door-to-door as part of an area canvas for further information, including a search for CCTV footage.
A post-mortem examination is hoped to be carried out tomorrow, Mr Baldwin said. Police are still working to confirm the man's identity and next-of-kin.
