Police investigating after person seriously injured in Waikato

A person has been hospitalised after arriving at a Waikato medical centre with injuries today.

Police say the person presented at a local medical centre at about 4.30pm in Tuakau after which they were transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Police are speaking with people at an address, and there is not believed to be any ongoing risk to the public.

Police arrived and were able to communicate with the now seven people in distress and contacted the Coastguard and Harbourmaster.
