A 27-year-old man has been arrested after an ASB bank in Wellington was robbed yesterday afternoon.
Police said a man entered the bank at Johnsonville Shopping Mall just after 2 pm, threatening staff and demanding money.
The bandit is then alleged to have run off on foot with pilfered cash before being located by police in a neighbouring street.
The man is set to appear in Wellington District Court later today on charges of aggravated robbery.
