Hawke's Bay fire flares up overnight due to strong winds

A Hawke's Bay fire that started on Monday flared up again overnight due to strong winds.

Fifty firefighters had been working overnight on the 15-hectare blaze on State Highway 50, just outside Tikokino.

The fire's now been contained but crews are still on scene.

One nearby property was evacuated and State Highway 50 remains closed.
