Whanganui River between Pipiriki and Jerusalem

Emergency services have rushed to the Whanganui River near Upokongaro over reports a person has "failed to surface."

Police were alerted around 1.20pm.

Police Search & Rescue, along with Coastguard and a rescue helicopter are working to locate the person.
