Search to resume for man who failed to surface from Hokitika River in West Coast

A search is expected to resume this morning for a man who failed to surface from the Hokitika River in the West Coast yesterday.

A 23-year-old man was reported missing from the water in Kokatahi, near Whitecombe Valley Road, about 12.50pm, police said.

A search was carried out until dark.

The search is expected to resume at daylight this morning.
